It is reported from Peshawar that Kussia has delivered an ultimatum to Bacchasakao, the rebel ruler, that unless he ceases pillage of the Kabul Treasury and pays £3,000,000 withi-i eight days for rifles, ammunition and £ar equipment supplied to the exKing Amanullah, Kabul will be bombed.

The story is not confirmed, but it is known that Afghanistan owes large sums to Russia for war equipment.
