TUAKAU AFFAIRS.
The Tuakau Town Board, at a special meeting, resolved to declare as a brick area both sides of George Street from Madill Street to the railway and both sides of Liverpool Street from the railway station to the north end. It was agreed that the brick area restrictions should apply for a depth of 66 feet from the frontages. In compliance with a petition from 20 shopkeepers and business people it wae decided that Wednesday, as formerly, should be the day of the statutory half-holiday.
