While at present he has recognised the Government of Afghanistan and fighting has ceased everywhere, except at Jagdalak, between Kabul and Jalalabad where looting is proceeding, Amanullah has enlisted strong support at Kandahar and the Shinwaris and other tribesmen are marching towards Kabul.
Others like the Mangals, Durranis and Ghilzais may follow their example, but the fate of the kingdom lies in the hands of the Ghilzais. - •
They are the most numerous and the strongest tribe. If they decide to support Amanullah, Bacchasakao will soon be deposed.
The murder of Bacchasakao is officially denied.
