LOS ANGELES, January 18.
Jacob Berman, who pleaded guilty, and was sentenced to seven years' imprisonment for wrecking the Julian Petroleum Company's plant, which cost the public about £5,900,000 testified that Asa Keves «ot. £8000, but did very little m return towards keeping him out oi gaoL The former District Attorney, who is charged with bribery and conspiracy, sat imperturbably in Court* while Berman testified that this money went inpayment of Keyes' new home, and a fancy [motor car for Keyes' daughter.
