WEDDING OF THE WEEK.

BALDWIN—BURTON.

Gladys Leola (Pat), second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charley Burton, of Cameron Street, Onehunga, was a dainty bride on Monday afternoon, when she was married to Albert, son of Mrs. and the late Mr. George Baldwin, of Waerenga. Pitt Street Methodist Church was chosen for the ceremony, the Rev. Leonard Dalby officiating. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a crepe spun shan frock of fvory tint, with silver lace and ornament to match, a long billowy tulle veil being draped around the head, with a coronet of pearls and orange blossoms. She carried a beautiful shower, bouquet. Her attendant (Miss Rita Colledge), gowned in a soft crepe de chine dress of apricot, carried a shower bouquet to tone. The duties of best man fell to Mr. Wesley Burton. The wedding reception was held at the Farmers' Union Reception Rooms. The bride's mother received her guests wearing a soft grey silk, trimmed with cornflower blue, hat to tone. MORRISON— PERCY. Miss Dulcie Leola Percy, youngest daughter of Mrs. E. A. Percy, late of Thames, and Howard Ritchie, only son of Mr. and Mrs. R. R. Morrison, of Hikutaia, were married last evening, at St. Mary's Cathedral. Mr. A. Percy, the bride's uncle, gave her away. Her gown was of satin and silver. A tight satin romaine bodice had a silver lace skirt falling from the waist. The ivory satin train was fastened with a buckle of brilliants and had a large silver tassel at the end. An embroidered filmy tulle veil was swathed round the head with orange blossom buds, and fell to form a long second train. She carried a large white shower bouquet. The Misses Gwen Hook and Lucy Morrison were the bridesmaids, in gowns of palm forest green taffeta with georgette hems cut on uneven lines, and embroidered in sprays of silver flowers; green velvet shoulder sprays were worn. The headdresses of green and folds of silver lame matched their, frocks, and shower bouquets of pastel tinted flowers were carried. Canon Percival James performed the ceremony. Mr. Donald Commons was best man, and Mr. Frank Morrison was the groomsman. A delightful wedding supper was served at the Domain Kiosk, the tables and reception room being decorated in a scheme of mauve wisteria and pink roses.

ANDERSON—NUTSFORD

Masses of blue and pink hydrangeas were placed in brass bowls at St. Matthew's Church yesterday afternoon, when Hazel, youngest daughter of Major Nutsford, M.8.E., and Mrs. Nutsford, of Mount Roskill, was married to Mr. Thomas Alfred Anderson, A.MJ.C.E., son of Mre. Anderson and the late Mr. T. Anderson, of Wellington. Canon Grant Cowen officiated, Mr. Philpott presiding at the organ. Entering the church with her father, the bride was a dainty figure in an uneven length full skint of ivory chiffon, which had a deep' hem of taffeta. Clusters of taffeta flowers and pearls were embroiderd on 'the ; b^di l ce.., y ;The French lace veft formed the; train, tod was held in place by a. coronet of pearl* and orange' blossom buds.. She carried a shower bouquet of pal pink and white carnations. Miss Enid Nutsford, the bride's sister, was in attendance, and wore a smart gown of powder blue georgette, the skirt having small frills and bands of pink passementerie. A shower bouquet of pink and white flowers was carried, and headdress to tone. Little Shirley Senn was the flower girl, in a frock of georgette, made into frills. A wreath of rosebuds was worn round the head, and <she carried a silver basket of flowers. Mr. Booker was beet- man. A reception was held at the Domain Kiosk, the tables looking attractive in tall vases of crimson and pink roses, pink phlox, and trails of maidenhair fern. The bride's mother received the guests in a cobalt blue marocain, embroidered in tones of blue and pink.. bridegroom's' mother wore a navy blue and fuchsia crepe de chine, hat to tone and mauve bouquet, and Mrs. Senn-(bride's sister), briar rose pleated crepe de chine, inset with fancy wool and silk lace, beige ballibuntal hat.
