SOCIAL GATHERINGS.

*Mrs. E. A. Clive, of Remuera, gave a smart afternoon tea party yesterday, the gueM or honour being Miss Betty Lockhart. Blue hydrangea and multicoloured carnations were profusely u«ed in the lounge, drawing room and tea table. Mrs. Clive received the guests in a black fringed crepe de soie.
