AKARANA YACHT CLUB.

SERIES OP HARBOUR RACES

ENTRIES, COURSES AND HANDICAPS.

The Akarana Yacht Club will hold harbour races to-morrow afternoon for keel and centre-board yachts, launches and outboard motor boats. All events will start and finish off the club house, the starting line being between the compass dolphin and Captain E. Gilling's new schooner yacht Valkyrie, kindly placed at the disposal of the club officials for the day.

The races will be in the form of four general handicaps, one each for ail keel yachts, starting at 2.30 p.m.; the 2<i, 22 and 20-foot centre-board boats, starting at 2.40 p.m.; for the 16 and ISfooters, starting at 2.50 p.m.; and the three 14-foot classes, starting at 3 o'clock. A race will also be held for the Star class on the Brett Cup, also a launch race under the new handicap system of owners nominating their own time, while the popular outboards will compete in three events for the Maud Shield. An "At Home" will be held at the club house during the afternoon.

The officers for the day are: Starter, Mr. W. A. Wilkinson; judge, Mr. H. Hill; timekeeper, Mr. G. Miller.

The following are the entries and handicaps:—

General Handicap, for Keel Yachts (Clab Cup), to start at 2.30. Course.—From starting line round the White Light buoy in Rangitoto Channel on port, thence round Duder's Spit buoy on starboard, back round White Light on starboard, then round Bastion beacon on starboard, finishing at starting line: Arlki, scr: lorangi, IJm; Thelma, : Walone, Ladye Wilma, lOtn ; Ida, 12m; Wairikl, 15ra; Mahakl, ISm ; lona, 20m ; Rarere, 20m; Maybelle, 22m • Mahoe, 25m.
