INFANTILE PARALYSIS.
CHILDREN AT ROTORUA. HOSPITAL NOT TO BE CLOSED. (By Telegrraph.—Own Correspondent.) WAXGANTI. this day. Replying to a deputation from the women's division of the Farmer*' Union, the Minister of Health. the Hon. A. -T. Stallvorthy, said that t3»ey were apparently acting under a misenneeption in asking that the Department sl-ould not olo=e the children's infantile jeralyeis hospital at Rotorua. The Minister said there was no intention to clr>=e the hospital at Rotorua.
Dr. T. H. A. Valintine. Director-Gen-eral of Health, said the Department-was centralising its activities at Rotorua to "avoid having straggling buildings. ' It had handed over some of them to tlw Borough Council. a s they were not required. These activities might have led to the belief that the Department was closing the hospital, but nothing of the sort was being done. °
