TE AROHA CLUB. (From Our Own Correspondent.) TE AROHA, Tuesday. The Te Aroha Amateur Swimming- Club held its opening meeting on Monday. Messrs. F. Burns and F. Garr acted as starters, and Messrs. J. O'Connell and Nicholas as judges. Following were the results: —■ Combine Balloon Race.—First hoat: C. Wyborn 1. Second heat: C. Hines 1. Final: C. Wyborn 1. Corfu Dive.—C. Hines 1, Tom 2. Boys' Candle Race.—S. Tom 1, Carruthers o Plunge Dive.—F. Bush 1. Relay Race.—Bush, Wyborn. Hines and J. Baiiey. Mixed Lifebuoys.—R. Gibbs 1. Neatest Header. —Hines. Gibbs and Gilbert dived off, and the latter was adjudged the winner. Relay Race. — Goldert, Wyborn. Gibbs. and Caniond 1. Candle Race.—First heat : Nicholas 1. Gibbs 2. Second heat : Wyborn 1. Bailey "J Final.—Wyborn 1, Gibbs 2.
