Shinwaris' Demands Agreed To By King. BACK TO OLD ORDER. (Australian and N.Z. Press Association.) (Received 12 noon.) DELHI, January 14. Official news from Kabul confirms the report that King Amnnullah has agreed 'to the withdrawal of his reforms programme. The demands of the Shinwaris, to which the King has unconditionally agreed, mean that the Governiment will now be under religious control.
Some of the demands are that priestc of the mullah class as a body are to have supreme authority. The King is to observe all practices and customs of the Mohammedan religion, and women, including the Queen, are to adopt the Afghan costume. Schoolboys are to be permitted to marry and people will be allowed to show respect for holy mei by kissing their feet while the advice of the latter will be carried out as law.
