TE KAUWHATA NEWS.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) Tljere was a very large assemblr at the Town Hall, Tc KauwhaU. vrl.en the usual yearly concert was held, over 500 people being present. During the evening a farewell presentation in the form of a cheque was handed to Mrs. Paul Reeton, who is leaving Te Kauwhata to reside at Takapuna. Mrs. Travers spoke on behalf of the Plunket Society and mentioned the fact that Mrs. Reston was always able, and willing, and had come forward whenever called upon to help the Plunket Society. She thanked her most sincerely on behalf of the Te Kauwhata branch. Mr. T. Rodda made the presentation on behalf of the people, and said that for organising concerts and entertainments Mrs. Reston had proved invaluable. She was leaving many old friends. Mrs. Reston suitably responded, thanking mother.* for their past help and children for their clever assistance.
