Alburn ia.—The manager reports that the drive north on footwall branch of Orlando reef from the crosscut at the winze has been extended 6 feet, a total of 55 feet. The reef averages 4 feet wide and is a strong body of stone, carrying nice mineral and silica, and looks well for making gold. There is still a portion of the reef In the west wall. The country rock on east wall Iβ of a splendid class, being interlaced with quarts stringers and mineral veins. No. S stope on the hangingwall branch of Orlando reef from the winze has been extended 8 feet by 7 feet. The reef averages 2 feet e Inches wide and colours of gold are seen fax the ore broken. The crosscut' east from the top of the rim on the dropper off Sons of Preedom reef has been extended B feet, a total of 21 feet. A few small stringers of quarts were passed through, also some nice flinty seams about 2 inches wide. The drive south from the top of the rise on the main Sons of Freedom reef has been extended 7 feet, a total of 12 feet. The reef averages 5 feet wide bnt Is mixed with m.
