CLAY-BIRD SHOOTING.
NEW LYNN GUN CLUB.
Members of the New Lynn Gun Club held a successful shoot on Saturday. Xo. 1 shoot, of seven birds, was for the Murrell Cup. L. Ramsey, 11yds, T C. Riehl. 18yds. and A. Macredie. 20yds', all tied for first place with six each. No. 2 shoot, of 13 birds, was for Mr L Ramsey's trophy. A. Hanigan, 15yds, and F. H. Hazard, 13yds, tied for first place with 13 each. In the shoot off, A. Hanigan won the match. No. 3 shoot was a seven-bird match for M , r V, E, .H. Bar^ ett ' s tr °Pny- C. Hoffman, 12yds, A. Macredie, 20yds. L. Ramsey, 12vds, A. Hanigan, 17yds, and T. C. Riehl. 18vds, all tied for first place with the possible Riehl won the shoot off, with Hoffman runner-up. In the draw for shooters, Mrs J. Murrell drew F. C. Riehl, and was presented with the ladies' trophy The club will hold its annual shoot on January 29, shooting to commence at 10
