SCRATCHING OF NATIVE PRINCE. Accepting the handicaps for the Wellington Trotting Club's meeting as published in the Auckland newspaper? as being cororect, Mrs. Sweetapple, owner of Native Prince, immediately sent a wire scratching her horse for all engagements. To-day she learn? that Native Prince's correct handicap for the Gold Cup i? 12yds, not 18yds as published. It is quite possible" that had she known his correct handicap she would have sent the horse to the meeting, but as he is now withdrawn the trip is off. It is unfortunate, hut in the original Press Association telegram from Wellington there are no horses in the Gold Cup on 12yds. but it now transpires that Loch Moigh, Native Prince.
