WOOL POSITION IMPROVES. Reviewing butteaa conditions in U.S.A. M at November JO, the National Bank of Commerce states that textiles made further important gains. "Cotton consumption in October was actually a little larger tlian in ths same month in 1697, and as a result of record sales unfilled orders exceeded stocks on hand for the first time this year, Manufacturers are now in a better position to protect their margins of profits while at the same time giving the consumer the benefit <of lower-prioed cotton than prevailed in the first part of last season. Demand for wool goods has also improved considerably with colder weather. Wjth low stocks of goods and a style trend favouring wool, the mills are in decidedly the best position since 1025.
