AUCKLAND BEAT HAMILTON
HAMILTON. Wednesday. A match between teams representing thj Auckland and Hamilton Y.M.C.A.'s at Sed don Park to-day was won by Auckland on the first innings. Hamilton Y.M.C.A. batted first and were all out for 144 (T. Ewan 38. Lissette 33). Auckland Y.M.C.A. made 153 for three wickets before rain caused the game to be abandoned at 2.30 p.m. Riddolls made 92. HAWKE CUP GAME. MAXAWATU V. HAWSE'S BAY. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) PALMERSTOX X.. Wednesday. HsTrke's Bay commenced the Hawke Tup challenge match with Manawatu to-day. Play was postponed in the morning owing to rain and was commenced in the afternoon on a dull wicket. Manawatu batted first and when stumps were drawn had lost six wickets for J29 runs. McVicar was the highest scorer with 55, not out.
