The Sisal market is firm with somewhat more trade inquiry. No. 1, December-February shipments, in demand at £40 10/ to £40 15/, sellers '£41; No. 2 less inquiry, nominally £38 10/. New Zealand: Better demand but business is restricted as shippers have advanced prices which buyers are unwilling to follow. Closing values, DecemberjVhiuary shipments, higbpoints, £36 to ' ; £36 10/; fair, £33 to £33 10"/: common, |£3U Hi/; tow, No. 2, £22 10/; No. 3, £19. Wool. —The Bradford market is quiet tenth no general buying of either tops or tarns expected until a new basis is established. Quotations are nominally unchanged, but the position favours buyers.

DAIRY PRODUCE

Amalgamated Dairies, Limited, received the following cablegram from their London manager:—Butter: Our price* unchanged, finest, 186/; market very firm. Danish, 212/ spot, 198/ f.o.b. Deliveries hi New Zealand 1622 tons, stock 2133 tons. Jletail prices unchanged. Cheese: Prices unchanged; white 98/, coloured 99/; market continues slow. Retail prices unchanged. The Bank of New Zealand received the following cablegram from its London Office an at the close pf business last week:—Butter: Steady, 182/ to 186/. The ewe market is firm with an upward tendency. The market for lambs is firm and moderate business has been done. The beef market is well supplied and there is a little better demand.
