OBITUARY.
MR. JAMES HOUSE.
A former director of the Hikurangi Dairy Company, Mr. James Rouse, die* at Hukerenui, aged 56 years. He was born at Kamo and was for a long time engaged in bush contracting and farming. He is survived by Mrs. Souse, six daughters and four sons. CAPTAIN M. SILLERS.
A well known man on the waterfront Captain M. Sillers died at Lyttelton yesterday morning after a short illness. He was master of the Westport Coal Company's Canopus, and had been trading to Auckland for a number of years. Captain Sillers was born in Scotland, and about ten years ago joined the Canopus as chief officer. A few years later he was transferred to the shore staff of the company. Later he was appointed master of the Canopus. On the last trip of that vessel Captain Sillers was taken ill and went ashore to his home. He was much respected bv all who knew him in both the North and the South Islands.
MR. JAMES FULTON.

WELLINGTON, this day. The death is announced of Mr. James Edward Fulton, aged 73, one of the best known engineers in the Dominion, who was for eight years manager and locomotive superintendent of the WellingtonManawatu railway. He designed and built the Kelburn tramway, Wellington and built many bridges for the Government and local bodies all over New Zealand. He retired from business in 1926. He leaves a widow and one daughter.

The death is announced of Mr. A. W. Sedcole, one of the very earliest settlers, closely identified with pioneering days, and various institutions.
