ELECTION OF OFFICERS. (From Our Own Correspondent.) DAROAVILLE, Wednesday. The following officers were elected for the eneuing term at the annual meeting of the Northern Wairoa Scottish Society: Chief Mr. D. L. Rose (unopposed); chieftaine, Messrs. J. G. Wileon (Mititai), A. W. Christie (Dargaville), D. Middleton (Kaihu). C. Johnson (Raupo), J. G. Barclay (Pukehuia), W. Williameon (Te Kopuru), A. Danke (Hoanga); chaplain, Rev. X. O. White; bard, Mr. J. G. Kerr (Raupo); piper, Mr. D. W. Rae; secretary and treasurer, Mr. A. Barlass; aesietant secretary, Mr. D. Bremner; committee, Messrs. G. Nicol, J. Cochrane, W. J. Gorrie and H. Roseveare. It was pointed out by the chief that the number of chieftains had been inereaeid with a view to spreading the interests of the eociety in various parts of the district.
