REV. ALBERT THORNHILL UNITARIAN MINISTER. Next Sunday the Rev. Albert Thornhill will conclude his association with the Auckland Unitarian Church. The morning service will be broadcasted. On the following Wednesday night a farewell gathering of members is to be held. It is nearly nine years since Mr. Tliornhill took charge of the Unitarian Church in this city. He leaves on December 28 for Sydney, to take charge of the Hyde Park Unitarian Church. The Rev. \V. Jellie, who was the first minister of the Unitarian Church in Auckland, and is living in retirement here, will take over the duties until a successor is appointed to Mr. Thornhill. An unusual incident iii a Minor Counties cricket match occurred at Rkegness, when Matthews, playing for the Notts second team against Lincolnshire, was bowled by the tenth ball of an over. In playing the fifth ball of the series Matthews nearly fell on his wicket, and this incident evidently caused the umpire to drop the pebbles he used for counting the balls in the over.
