' SYDNEY WOOL SALES. SYDNEY, December 5. At the Sydney wool sales to-day 10,882 bales were sold. The market closed with well-eustained competition. Superfine sorts were still in very keen request and realised extreme prices. A season's record for greasy Merino was achieved at 43% d. This is the highest price paid on the Sydney market since the 1921-25 season. THE LINSEED MARKET. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. The Department of Agriculture .has received the following cablegram dated December 4, from Messrs. LandaJe and Clark, Limited, Calcutta, with reference to the lineeed market:—We quote £18 7/6 for linseed per ton, c. and f. Sydney, for immediate shipment. The market is steady. DAIRY PRODUCE. Messrs. Joseph Nathan and Co. have received the following cable from their London principals, Messrs. Nathan and Trengrouse, Tooley Street, dated Decem ber 5, as follow:— New Zealand butter: 178/ to 180/ per cwt. New Zealand cheese: White 96/, coloured 97/ per cwt. Meeers. Leonard and Sons have received the following cable from their London principal, Mr. A. C. Eoweon, dated December s:— Cheese position worse'. Sales being made at 96/ per cwt.
