The Elleislie Club flew a race from Christchurch on Saturday, Mr. L. Bedford's b c Bfll Tride winning with a velocity of 1038.6 yds per minute. Results are :— Mr. L. G. Bedford's b c Bell Tride (103S.6yils per minute) * Mr. Shiels r c Black Splash (1038.4 yds 2 Mr. Redman's Lucky Day (1035 yds) .. 3 Mr. Hughes' (1027 yds), Mr. Wilson's (OOOydK), Messrs. Irving and Don's (Ss4yds), Mr. Porter's (S22yds), Mr. Chayman'g (756 yds). AVALON CLUB. The Avalon Club flew a race from Taumarunui, an airline distance of 144 miles, in fine weather. Messrs. Scott Bros', bee scored an c.isy win. Rrsults :—- Messrs. Scott Bros". It c c Glue Pot (1170 yds per minute > 1 Mr. J. Wilson's be h Chelone (1142 yds per minute) 2 A "single up" was flown from Mannnui, an airline distance of 145 miles. The birds were liberated by Mr. 1). Wilson at fifteen minute intervals.
