"TO EXORCISE GHOSTS."
CHILDREN THROW STONES.
WINDOWS BROKEN.
At the Children's Court on Saturday morning five boys of school age were charged with breaking a number of windows in an empty house. The excuse of the boys was that the children at the school they attended said this emptv house was haunted, and they decided to attempt to exorcise the ghost. 'Iheir method of doing so by means of stones was, however, not approved by the Bench, who stressed the view that unoccupied property must be respected, and that the Court would take a verv serious view of future offences.
In this case the boys were admonished and discharged without penaltv, bevond payment of damages (£3) for the broken windows.
