WEDDINGS OF THE WEEK.

RUTHERFORD—BUCKWORTH.

Florence Annie Cecilia Buckworth, only daughter of Mrs. C. Beart, of J Edendale, and Mr. Arthur Ruthven j Rutherford, eldest son of the late Mr. Mrs. Rutherford, of Epsom, were married on Saturday evening at the Pitt Street Methodist Church. The Rev. Lionel Dalby officiated. The bride wore a dainty gown of pastel pink silk crepe de chine with pink lace, small vest, and edged with silver, and a large silver rose on the shoulder. The embroidered tulle veil formed the train and was held in place by a fine strand of orange blossom buds. She carried a shower bouquet of pink and white flowers with satin streamers. Two bridesmaids followed, Miss Alice Harrison in a mauve crepe fleuri with the bodice stitched lattice fashion, silver shoulder rose and uneven hem. Miss Jean Beart, powder blue crepe fleuri, small frills at the back of the skirt, uneven hem and shoulder spray. Both wore black picture hats with flowers and long velvet ribbons. Shower bouquets were carried to match the gowns. The reception at Nairns occupied both dance and supper rooms, the bridesmaids' colours being the floral decorations. RALPH—GEORGE. Miss Ruth Margaret George, the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter George, of Kakahi, was a dainty bride when she was married on Wednesday to Mr. Bert William Ralph, eldest son of Mr. B. T. Ralph, of Te Marie. The wedding took place at the Catholic Church, Kakahi. and the ceremony was performed by the Rev. Father Biadv, of Taumarunui. The bride made a charming picture in a frock of white crepe de chine, trimmed with silver lace. She wore the customary veil and pretty white satin shoes, and her bouquet was of lily of the valley and maiden-hair fern. The bridesmaids were Miss V. Karam and Miss N. Karam, of -Raurimu. The former wore a frock of old rose crepe de chine, while the latter's frock was of mauve crepe de chine. The bride's mother Wore a frock of figured georgette. Mr. L. Steedman was beat man, •
