HARBOUR BOARD LEASE.
PASSED IN AT £19,000.
Messrs. Samuel Vaile and Sons offered by auction yesterday afternoon a Harbour Board lease on reclaimed land, with a frontage of 60ft 6in to Customs Street West, and 41ft to Little Queen Street. On the section is a three-floor brick building at present occupied by the vendors,'the National Electrical Engineering Co. The lease of the section runs till January, 1945, at an annual rental of £67 13/.
Bidding started at £15,000 and advanced until £19,000 was reached, at which figure the property was passed in.
