FARMERS RALLY ROUND!
After stating that his company had had a bad time, but had now turned the corner, Mr. J. G. Cobbe, chairman of directors of the Feilding Farmers' Freezing Company, said to shareholders at the annual meeting:—
"I should like to once more emphasise the absolute necessity for farmers to rally round their own freezing works. If the farmers' works are allowed, through lack of support, to go under, it means the stoppage of any real competition for fat stock in the Dominion. I would also like to remind you of what would have happened in this district, during the long spell of dry weather last season if the Feilding works had not been operating. Can anyone here calculate, even approximately, the tremendous loss that sheep farmers around Feilding would have suffered?"
