MISSING SOLICITOR.

SOME SECURITIES FOUND. CREDITORS SURPRISED. (By Telegraph.—Prest Association.) CHRJSTCHURCH, this day. Since the meeting on September 7 of creditors in the estate of J. B. Batchelor, the missing eolicitor, the Official Assignee, and the supervisors, Messrs. W. J. Hunter and A. Donaldson, have met on four occasions for the purpose of investigation. These investigations have in some cases revealed securities which will reduce the claims made by some, creditors, for they represent truet funds, which were considered to be lost. Several clients who. had invested money thiough Batch ilor have been agreeably surprised to receive from the Official Assignee a notification to call and uplift their deeds. The furniture of a house in Peterborough Street, together with the office furniture and law library, have been realised, and it ie anticipated that the estate will benefit from the equities in three house properties in which it has been found that bankrupt is interestedThere are two motor cars to realise.
