LABOUR'S BOYCOTT.
ARBITRATION INQUIRY.

SYDNEY, this day.
The special inquiry officer, Mr. Munden, appointed for an inquiry into the working of the amended Commonwealth Arbitration Act, is being boycotted by the Labour Union officials. He has not been allowed to make investigations on the ground that he accompanied the industrial mission to America in defiance of th"e Labour councils of various States.
TORNADO AT NICE.
MUCH DAMAGE DONE.
(Australian and N.Z. Press Association.) (Received 10 a.m.) PARIS, November 1. A tornado struck Nice yesterday at noon and much damage was done. No details are as yet available.
ARMISTICE DAY MEDAL.
DELIVERANCE SYMBOLISED.
(Australian and N.Z. Press Association.) (Received 10 a.m.) LONDON, November 1. To commemorate Armistice Day the Royal Mint has struck a medal designed by Mr. C. L. Doman, of Wimbledon. The obverse typifies Deliverance, showing a figure of Great Britain supporting a young warrior with the broken shackles of war and offering a wreath to the memory of the fallen. On the reverse is the Cenotaph surrounded by the words. "Their name liveth for evermore."
