CABBAGES BY 'PLANE.
Gardeners Move For Air Service To Markets.
RAILWAYS' NEW DEPARTMENT,
(United Service.) (Received 10 a.m.) LONDON, November 1. It is understood the railway companies are discussing an application to Parliament for air transport powers to carry passengers and goods. It is pointed out that market gardeners distant from London are urging the use of aeroplanes to enable them more favourably to meet the' competition of continental produce.
