TAKAPUNA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
The Takapuna Borough Council jiet last evening. Mr. J. W. Williamjjon (Mayor) presiding. The only absentee *ras Councillor A. M. Seaman, who is touring with the commerce train. Milford Storage Culvert.—lt was reported that the contractors had finished the Milford storage culvert, as far as the beach portion was concerned, and it was hoped to have an official visit paid by the health and Harbour Board authorities to it and to the St. Leonard's outfall works (which also are practically finished) next Monday afternoon. Meanwhile the council will be pleased if all ratepayers who are able to do so will pay a visit to the works, within the next day or two. Collection of Accounts.—Tenders were accepted for some minor drainage works, and an applicant was granted the right to sell and hire seats on tlie two beaches. The Waitemata Power Board applied to the council to consider a suggestion to act as collectors for the board, at 1% per cent commission on electric light accounts.
