MOSCOW, October 31
The Far-Eastern Geographical Observatory has worked out a gruesome scheme for a refrigerator museum in which the bodies of men, women and animals can be preserved in perpetuity undecayed. The scheme proposes to use the eternal ice of Siberia in which mammoths have already been preserved for 10,000 years so that flesh will still be fit for human food. In the ice museum bodies of all human races will be frozen in for the benefit of students centuries hence with the utensils and food they used in life and their domestic and other animals.
It is estimated the cost will be 10,000,000 roubles and an appeal is being issued throughout the world for sub° scriptions to enable the scheme to be carried out.
