SYDNEY WOOL SALES. SYDNEY, October 31. At the Sydney wool sales to-day 10,977 bales were sold. The market ruled firm, with good competition. Good clearances were' made at prices fully equal to late rates. Greasy Merino sold to 28d. LONDON SHEEPSKIN SALES. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., has received the following advice by cable from its London house, under date October 29: At the sheepskin sales Merino combing and crossbred fine were 10 per cent lower; crossbred medium and crossbred coarse, 10 to 15 per cent lower; crossbred half-woolled and crossbred short and shorn, 5 to 7'/i per cent lower. There were very heavy withdrawals.
