There was a surprise in the Waikato Cup oh Saturday, when Corinax defeated geveral well-fancied candidates, the first two choices being unplaced. Nancy Lee justified backers' confidence by carrying off the Cambridge Handicap. The totalilator investments amounted to £27,200, an increase of £0052 compared with the corresponding day last season.
