ELLERSLIE TRAINING NOTES.

THIS MORNING'S GALLOPS.

MONETIZE AND SULLA GO BEST.

The weather was fine though dull for .training operations at Ellerslie this morning. The No. 3 grass , was in . use, and provided good going, while a. couple of two-year-olds were galloped on the coarse proper, outside one trestle. Coarse Proper. The two-year-olds Norval Tea and Neil were associated over half a mile on the course, proper, completing the distance in 538. There was little between them at : the 'finish, although' Norval Tea appeared to be doing the better of thfe two. King Emerald and Gold Money opened proceedings by running four furlongs: in 545, without being extended. . Thursby was a shade.better than War Officer at the end of a round, which took 1.49 3-5. They could have done a lot better;

Eager Rose covered six furlongs in 1.24. ■

Fernden defeated Huephano over four furlongs in 52 3-ss.

Lomint ran six furlongs in 1.20, and did it nicely. Hyde Park went a similar journey in 1.22.

Baby Bun sprinted - four furlongs in 52 3-ss, and Hannibal took 53 2-5s for a like task. j; : " r

Modest Boy was timed to run six furlongs in 1.27, without being hurried.

Tea Money beat Zane Grey at the end of four furlongs in 54 3-ss, and Blue Spear went a furlong further in 1.8 1-5.

Brampton and Miss Alma went a round in 1.48. The last-named pleased most.

Bulolo was never off the bit to traverse six furlongs in 1.22.

Scot Free and Critique took 1.21 for a six-furlong journey, and Killute defeated Diamond Queen over a similar distance in the same time.

Bizarro traversed a round in 1.41 4-5, and went very evenly throughout.

Monetize jumped away at the sixfurlong post, and after running the first three, furlongs in 37 3-5s he completed the full distance in. 1.18 2-5. This was the best gallop of the morning. ■ After Breakfast. Master Leigh and Tcmplete were companions over six furlongs, and finished together in 1.20 1-5. Lido finished in front of Lineroo and Wye over half a mile in 525. Sir Archie strode over four furlongs in 555. Knight Town and Gay Cockade ran four furlongs in 52 l-ss. Sulla sprinted four furlongs in 51s, and put plenty of dash into his task. Ponticus covered six furlongs in 1.20 3-5; he went fast over the first-half of the journey.

Valsier and Mountain Guide were on terms at the end of six furlongs, which took 1.22.

Good Boy ran half a mile from practically a standing start in 525. A good effort.

Abbott's Delight went very freely in a run from the four-furlong past, which he. accomplished in 51 i*ss.
