LONDON, October 18.
A parrot perched on a stall at the "Home life" exhibition in Alexander Palace snatched at and swallowed a £120 diamond brooch from the frock of a visitor, Miss Rita Ginnings. A doctor sent a large dose of castor and olive oils after the brooch but unavailingly. The bird will remain under observation for two daya and in tiie event of obstinacy 'Tolly" will swallow nothing men in this worlds
