ORGAN RECITALS.
Among other equally stupid steteaafefr "Lover of Justice" says, in defence of tie" empty benches at these recitals, "Let Tn Bono Publico' blame the City Council far tki cold hall and hard seats, not the orgaakt"' Surely an extraordinary statement in the feee of the fact that the same conditions cut for all other forms of entertainment at higher prices, and that on the average the! attendances that fill the hall are nearer tti two thousand mark than the one hundred c so at these recitals. No one can blame tht organist for his Remuneration—or doable 8 he can get it—but the council should time a halt and have the whole position sifted.
