WAIHI MINE REPORT.

WAIHI, this day.

The following information has been cabled to London by the Waihi Gold Mining Company:— In No. 8 sub-level, at 71 feet below No. 8 level, the Regina lode has been crosscut in two places. The first crosscut shows the full width to be 24 feet, with an assay value of 27/ per ton, and in the second crosscut 18 feet in width, with an assay value of 27/ per ton. In rml- 9 * eve * °* ® e g* na l°de, in the White crosscut, a new drive has been commenced at 145 feet In. We have driven to the west 20 feet in ore, assaying 51/6 per ton, and to the east 10 feet in ore assaying 47/9 per ton. In the north section of the Empire lode, west of the Power crosscut, the 7 feet of driv ing assays 33/3 per ton.. The lode is about 5 feet in width at the face. At 46 feet the full width is 7 feet, and assay value 55/9 per ton. In No. 14 level of the Martha lode, ™ ' h ® f°f. cut at 785 feet east, the next 30 feet as quartz of low value. 99e# * diamond drill hole is down feet, and is still in quartz.
