After going three furlongs Silvermine took the lead, and beat Sagittarius home by a couple of lengths in 1.4 1-5, the best effort of the morning.

Royal Acre, with Egeria as a companion, ran five furlongs comfortably in

R. Brough's Cup candidate, Royal Mint, set off on his mile journey with Corwen as pacemaker for about three furlongs, where he was joined by Black Odin. Royal Mint finished up his task well in 1.47 1-5.

Silver Rule was too good for Boundary over five furlongs, run in 1.4 1-5. Cool Mint took 53s to run his halfmile, but was not extended.

Sovena worked attractively over six furlongs, beating Troilus by a couple of lengths in I.IBJ. Sovena has greatly improved.

Calamine finished a shade in front of Denier over a similar journey in I.lß}. Embralto and Bonogne went a good five furlongs after breakfast, running the journey in 1.4 1-5.

Glengariff has been working and schooling well on the Hawen, tracks, and will find plenty of support ft Waverley. Cool Mint is a greatly improved hone, and is one of the nicest three-year-olds about. He is engaged at Waverley, and may make a name for himself.
