FIJI PINE APPLES.

SUVA, October 11.
A pronouncement of much importance to Fiji was made this week by Sir May nard Hedstrom to the effect that, owing to his representations while visiting Honolulu, three gentlemen, prominent in the pineappple canning industry in Hawaii, are coming to Fiii on a special tour of inspection, with the idea of investing capital in the industry here,'should conditions warrant it. Their names are Mesars. Barnes, Glegborn and A Hoyt. The Government- yacht Pioneer, with Dr. Superintendent of Agriculture, _ will take the visitors round all " likely districts in the colony. The first iocal company to get going makes a start in canning in the factory in Suva early, in November.
