FELL FROM GANGWAY.
SHIP'S OFFICER INJURED.
CONDITION SERIOUS.
Mr. Grant Allen, second officer of the steamer Canadian Explorer, fell from the ship's gangway when going on board from Prince's wharf last night at *8.30. He struck a pile and was rendered unconscious.
After being attended to by a member of ~the St. Jdnn Ambulance Brigade, Mr. Allen was removed to the hospital. This morning his Condition was stated to be serious. He had not regained consciousness. ;
