The disastrous effects of the protracted argentine meat "war," which was settled in November, 1927, is shown in the balance-sheet of the Smithfield Argentine Meat Company for the year which ended on December 31, 1927.
The companyTs trading Loss was £112,737, following a loss of £137,982 in the previous year.
