In the Marseilles strike the sailors are demanding an increase of 23/ per month in their wages. They recently held up several liners by the means of one-day strikes. The owners, in re taliating, have withdrawn several vessels and have dismissed the crews. The dockers are supporting the strikers, and an extension is feared
