AUCKLAND EAST METHODISTS.

The quarterly meeting of the Auckland East Circuit was held in the Epsom Methodist Church, the Rev. E. Drake presiding. over a. large body of officials. The membership returns revealed a. senior membership of 767, and a junior membership of 333, an increase in both departments during the year. Sunday school and Bible class membership stands at 846, with a staff of 101 tesehers. The circuit steward, Mr. F. JC. Winstone, pre-., sented the balance-sheet, which showed a circuit income of £36610/1 for die quarter, leaving a credit balance of £8 3/2. The income for the quarter, independent of Sunday school and missionary returns, totalled £578 10/3. The incomplete foreign mission returns amount to £488. Metis. T. H. Martyn, A. Peak, W. Ambvy, and W. S. were elected representatives to the aunual Synod "to be held in Auckland in November. Unanimous invitations were extended to' the Ben. E. Drake, H. Byan and E. T. Olds to continue in the circuit, and were in. esch case accepted. The United Church Peace Manifesto was discrsed at some length, and with a few emendations iccepAsd.
