FANCY DRESS BALL.

The Orange Hall was a buzz of excitement last evening, when the members of the Athenian Club and their friends donned the motley and held a fancy dress ball to mark the conclusion of their activities for the year. The hall added to the attractiveness of the scene with its gay decorations of multi-coloured streamers which formed a network overhead. Downstairs, the supper tables were charmingly arranged in a scheme of blue and gold, the club colours. Streamers in these two shades outlined the tables, and yellow Iceland poppies and wayside grasses were arranged in tall vases. Mrs. V. H. Trask and Mrs. P. Free, assisted by other members of the ladies' committee, had the supper arrapgejnepta in hand, and worked very hard to*make the evening the success it was.
