WAIPAHI IN PORT!

WESTMORELAND SAILS 5 P.M.

Arrivals from overseas ports to-day include the Waipah% from Suva and the Lionel from Texas. The Canadian Explorer, which was due from Montreal this afternoon, now radios that she will not get here until to-morrow. The Wairuna from the South is air© due to-mor-row for final loading for Vancouver.

Last evening tlie Maul Pomare was dispatched for Apia and this afternoon the Westmoreland is to sail for London. The Port Darwin, Canadian Winner and Cerasus, have been discharging overseas cargo at Auckland, are also to sail this afternoon for southern ports.

The Katoa left Picton at 3.30 p.m. yesterday for Napier and Auckland. The Waipiata left Oamaru at 6 p.m. on Monday and arrived at Lyttelton at 6 a.m. yesterday. She is to leave there this afternoon for Wellington, Napier and Auckland. The Wingatui arrived from Lyttelton yesterday afternoon and berthed at the Prince's wharf. She is to sa;l on Friday for Wellington, Lyttelton, Ihmedin and Timaru.

The Kurow is to load at Dunedin on Friday for Auckland, via Timaru, Lyttelton and Wellington. ■

The Kaimanawa, en route from Westport, left New Plymouth for Auckland at 6 p.m. yesterday. The Balls Head expects to arrive from Greymouth at 6 p.m. to-morrow. After discharge she Is to return to Greymouth to load another cargo for Auckland. The Kaitangata left Greymouth at 11 p.m. yesterday for Auckland. CANADIAN WINNER SAILS. For further discharge of her general cargo from Montreal and Sydney (C.8.), the Canadian National steamer Canadian Winner is to sail at 4 p.m. to-day for Wellington. Thence she is to go to Adelaide and Melbourne. NAURU PHOSPHATE. An expected arrival at Auckland about the end of this week is the tramp steamer Saltersgate, with a full cargo of phosphates from Nauru Island. She will unload all the cargo at Auckland. Henderson and Macfarlane, Ltd., are the local agents. CERASUS TO SAIL. In continuation of her voyage from Nauru Island, the steamer Cerasus is to sail at 4 p.m. to-day for Wanganui. After completing discharge at the latter port she is to go to Westport for bunkers, returning thence to Nauru to load for South- Australia. THE MAUI POMARE. For Nine Island and .Apia, the Government motor ship Maui.' Pomare was dispatched from Auckland yesterday. Besides cargo and mails she took 13 passengers. BLUFF LIGHT SHIP. The Bluff light ship, which drifted away from its moorings last week, was replaced on Saturday night. WESTMORELAND SAILS 5 P.M. The Federal steamer Westmoreland 1b announced to sail at 5 p.m. to-day for London. WITHIN WIRELESS RANGE. The following vessels are expected to be within range of the Auckland wireless station to-night:—Veronica, Kaasembe, Karamea, Maui Pomare, Wairuna, Dunedln, Laburnum. RIMUTAKA TO SAIL. To continue discharge of her general cargo from London, the New Zealand Shipping r steamer Rimutaka Is to sail at 6.30 a.m. to-morrow for Dunedln. ULIMAROA AT WELLINGTON. With passengers, malls and cargo from Sydney, the Huddart, Parker steamer Ulimaroa arrived at Wellington early yesterday afternoon. She is to sail on her return voyage at 11 a.m. on Friday. LIONEL ARRIVED. With a full cargo of sulphur from Galveston, Texas, the Norwegian motorship Lionel arrived at Auckland early this afternoon and berthed at the King's wharf. From here she is to go to New Plymouth,

THE CANADIAN EXPLORER. „ A further radio from the Canadian National steamer Canadian Explorer states that she expects to reach Auckland from Montreal at noon to-morrow. She will discharge the New Zealand portion of her cargo at the Prince' 6 wharf, and Is expected to Bail about the end of the week for Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide.

WAIRUNA'S BERTH. Due at Auckland from New Plymouth at 6.30 p.m. to-day, the Union Co.'s steamer Wairuna will berth at the Queen's wharf for final loading for Vancouver. She is announced to sail to-morrow evening for Vancouver, via Apia and Fanning Island. MATAKANA CLEARED BALBOA. *En route from Liverpool to Auckland, the Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Matakana is reported to have cleared Balboa ou Monday. She Is due here on November 4 and will discharge the local portion of her cargo to the agency of L. D. Nathan, Ltd. Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedln are her other ports of discharge. R.M.S. MAKURA. From San Francisco, via Papeete and Rarotonga, the Union Co.'s H.M.s. Makura is due at Wellington next Monday. After landing local passengers, mails and cargo, she is to resume her voyage to Sydney at noon on Wednesday. RUAHINE'S ITINERARY. At present discharging at Wellington, the N.Z. Shipping Co.'s steamer Rnahine is to come to Auckland to commence homeward loading on October 26, and Is to be dispatched on November 3 for Wellington and Napier to fill up. Napier will be her final port, and she* is announced to sail from there on November 10 for Southamjtfon and London. KAZEMBE AT SUVA. The local office of the New Zealand Shipping Co. has received advice from Sydney that the steamer Kasembe arrived at Suva from New York on Saturday afternoon. She is expected to leave there for Auckland to-morrow and is due here next Monday. Her other ports of discharge are Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedln. PORT DARWIN TO SAIL. The Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer Port Darwin is expected to sail for Wellington and Lyttelton this evening I to complete unloading general merchandise From Glasgow and Liverpool. Afterwards the vessel is to commence loading at Timaru about November 1, but her other loading ports have not been announced. She is to be dispatched on her return voyage to England about the end of November. WAIPAHI IN PORT. An arrival at Auckland this morning was the Union Co.'* steamer Waipahi, with fruit from Suva. She left Auckland on October 5, and experienced fine weather throughout the voyage. Last Monday evening a heavy sorwherly sWell affd a fresh head wind were sncountered, reducing the vessel's speed by ibout a knot. The Walpabi is discharging it the Prince's wharf, and is announced to sail again for Suva at 3 p.m. to-morrow.

KARAMEA COMING. Wireless advice from the Shaw, Saviil and Albion motor-ship Karamea, which is on her maiden voyage, states she ■will rcnch Auckland from London on Saturday. She has a large cargo of general merchandise, of which 5400 tons Is for Auckland, and the remainder for Wellington. The Karamea Is the la6t of the four new motor-ships which have been built for the company, and is a sister ship to the Taranaki. Coptic and Zealandlc, which have already visited Auckland. A. S.
