KERBSIDE PETROL PUMPS.
INDEMNITY INSURANCE. OARAGE OWNERS SHOULDER COST. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The dispute between the Upper Hutt Borough Council and the oil companies over the kerhside petrol pumps has been settled, the garage proprietors themselves having decided to institute an insurance scheme under which they undertake to indemnify the borough council against liability in case of accident. The council considers the scheme sound, and has agreed to it. The petrol companies refused to indemnify the council, and the proprietors were in consequence threatened with the loss of their pumps.
