WAR FUND DISTRIBUTION.
K.S.A. EXECUTIVE SATISFIED.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.)
WELLINGTON, this day
The executive standing committee, of the New Zealand Returned Soldiers' Association recently considered the criticism of some members of Parliament that the distribution of funds by the patriotic societies had not been as liberal as it should have been. The standing committee was unanimously of the opinion that the criticism was not justified. It was satisfied that the funds at all times had been generously disbursed within the limits of the trusts, and further, £5000 had been made available by the National War Funds Council to provide relief for out-of-work soldiers, a contingency possibly not contemplated by the original donors. An additional generous allowance of £5000 had been made available for that purpose this winter. 1 .
