TRANSACTIONS ON 'CHANGE.

New Zealand Breweries firmed in price to-day. At the .third call yesterday sales took place at £2 11/, but this morning £2 12/6 was paid. Breweries debentures were also placed at £1 4/2 yesterday afternoon. Business was done in New Zealand Insurance yesterday afternoon at £2 5/, an advance' of 6d on the previous sale. Queensland Insurance sold at the first call to-day at £3 5/3, and South British were transferred at £3 2/9. A transaction took place yesterday afternoon in Britisn Tobacco shares at £2 4/. Huddart-Parker Steam sold ex div. to-day at £2 8/3. Buyers of Victoria-Nyzanza Sngar shares advanced their offers from £2 1/ to £2 4/, without a seller being disclosed. New Zealand Farmers' Fertiliser could now be sold at £4 5/6, which is a slight advance. Abraham Williams preference issue finn.-d I/, buyers offering £4 6/. Another advance took place in buyers' offers for Pukemiro Collieries, the quotation being ttt* noon ca "- Wellington Woollen ordinary shares also firmed V buyers offering £6 12/. New Zealand National Bank shares changed hands at £7 5/, and Commercial irf/ff ordinary shares werj placed at £1 10/5. A good rise took place in English, Scottish, and Australian Bank shares sales being recorded at £"8 16/, which is 2/ above the buying quotation at noon yesterday. ,
