CUP TIE CURTAIN-RAISER. ..JJ 1 ® , meeting of Tramways and Y.M.C.A. on Blandford Park to-morrow afternoon is a game which has an important beaming on the senior champion - ship. Tramways are one point behind Ponsonby, who are at-the top of the table, and should Y.M.C.A.; gain the verdict, or even to-morrow Tramways' chances of again winning the title will Teceive a rade shock. It would not be the first time, however, that Y.M.C.A. have upset Trams' caluclations, for the finest team the corporation side has yet fielded—two seasons ago—was eliminated from the_ iational club championship—the Chathap the then lowly Y.M. When the teams have met keen and closely contested struggles have always been the outcome, and although Trams M6re tKett <lplf the Auckland reps, their' Combination, Y.M. are undaunted and out to win. Junior matches as curtain-raisers this season/ have all proved thrilling games, and &e meeting ©f these rival suburban sides very keen- interest. Glen Eden are favoured .in soma, quarters, but Kewmarket are quietly confident. The game is sure to bp willing from start to finish.
