LONDON-BUCHAREST.
FLIGHT ACCOMPLISHED. (British Official Wireless.) (Received l'J noon.) RUGBY, September 9. The flight from London to Bucharest, a distance of 1600 miles, has been accomplished in one day by Flight-Lieu-tenant Scholefield, who left Brooklands on September 8. Including two stops for refuelling, the journey was completed in 12 hours. AUSTRALIA TO ENGLAND. ATTEMPT ON HINKLER RECORD (Received 1 p.m.) SYDNEY, this day. Lieutenant Keith Anderson and his companion, Mr. Hitchcock, who left Mascot aerodrome yesterday in a Bristol tourer for London to beat Bert Hinkler's recurd England to Australia, flight, arrived late in the afternoon at Charleville, Queensland.
